'Petit Fours' started as a side project to 'Baked Goods'. The idea was/is to collect smaller, more informal musical sketches. Thus all track names stayed within the baking themes.

An additional stimulus was one of APi's numerous musical notes from the '70s. This time one referring to 'The Hollow Men', a poem by T.S.Eliot, was picked.

Zelta Zonk, the rock group Stephan K. Gipp (SKG) and APi then were part of, planned to do a lengthy composition based on that theme, but it apparently did not realise. At least no recorded documentation exists.

The facsimile of that note, showing some intended progressions, was given to all participants. Each one started working on own ideas from that.

Meanwhile Stephan introduced Art Clyde, Adult Choir Director at a MN-church, to the project. Art documented his collaboration interest with the piece 'Bossa Nova Pavlova'. Since Art has/had only little time besides his choir projects, all other contributions are from either SKG or APi.
