With respect to song titles: There is ‘deep’ meaning to each and every on of them. Let me enlighten you:

7D90: This was done after we had 7 days of 90F degrees. It was just too hot. Imagine sitting in a bistro in New Orleans listening to some amateur jazz band.

Toleo: Read as ’To Leo Kottke’. Sorry no electric guitar in this one.

BelaSR: Was inspired by some Bela Bartok piece and used some Steve Reich minimalistic ideas.

Black John: Started out with a motive by Johan Sebastian Bach and imagined it was picked up by Black Sabbath. If you think the dynamic contrast is too big … I got it right :-)

MCR 36251: While listening to ‘My Chemical Romance: The Sharpest Lives’ I thought I want to do something like this. Well, I picked a chord progression of III, VI, II, V, I and took it from there. Hence the title.

First 22: Just the first piece I did in 2022.

Another Day: Well, here we get a reference to Pink Floyd. Any song comes to mind? How about ‘One of those days’? So here it is just ‘Another Day’. And yes, vocals would be nice.

Far Away: That’s were I would like to go: Indonesia. Using the Gamelan and some remembered concepts of Indonesian music (excluding Bali).
The result is ‘Far Away’; using some ocean wave sounds on this one, captured by Andrea in Hawaii.

Home: As a contrast to ‘Far Away’. The title is not related to anything in the music.
